Museum of Sex Rebranding Museum Art Kit
Museum of Sex Art Kit Rebranding and Physical Mockups for Aki’s Design with Colors class.
The primary goal is to rebrand a museum’s art kit, focusing on color and design. I aimed to reflect the Museum of Sex’s theme of “uncensoring” through the use of blur, grain, and gradients. The blur symbolizes the contrast between the stigmatized views of sex and sexuality and the museum’s mission to openly address them. The abstract sensual gradients embody this concept. I wanted to convey this message with a playful color palette and minimalistic design elements, allowing the focus to remain on the theme while maintaining a clean and bold aesthetic.

The Museum Art Kit includes:
- 1 Perfect binded booklet with a RISO printed cover
- 1 frosted plexi drawerbox that contains the paint tubes (that can also be use as a pencil holder)
- 1 Thank you cards
- 4 Museum of Sex tickers
- 4 Museum of Sex Condoms Mockup
All placed in a Museum of Sex cardboard box
Other elements in the rebranding and art kit:
- Spiral Bound coloring book (template made from images of previous exhibition)
- Postcards of images from previous Exhibition
- Posters with gradients
I extracted the palette from Superfunland, Museum of Sex’s carnival-like installation and games, as the main color palette

The frosted Plexi hides the gradient in the draw and the paint tubes inside. The way the drawer box reveals the paintube align with Museum of Sex’s mission to reveal the sensorship behind sexuality and erase the stigma that comes with it.
